    Sugar and red dye sensitivity may increase hyperactive behaviors in some children, so eliminating them in the diet is a good idea.

    Studies show that children with ADHD may have lowered levels of omega-3 fatty acids in their systems; therefore, including those in their diets is a good idea. Sources of omega-3 fatty acids: salmon, tuna, flax seed. In addition, a large study done in England, showed that children eating a bad diet are more prone to behavioral issues. Thus, make it a point to cut out fats food and serve fruits and vegetables with every meal and snack.
