Review: JUARA Skincare Products

Screen_shot_2012-01-05_at_11.09.35_AMJUARA Skincare was kind enough to send us a few products to review. For the past month, I have been using the Discovery Kit: Glow on the Go-Travel Set, which comes with 5 of their best-selling products:

  • Rice Facial Cleanser
  • Tamarind Tea Hydrating Toner
  • Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturizer
  • Turmeric Antioxidant Facial Mask
  • Candlenut Hand & Body Balm

First of all, I have never tried skincare products that smell as amazing as these do. I looked forward to doing my morning facial routine every day simply because of the delicous scents. I made my kit last longer than it should just so I could keep using it.

The kit claims to result in "awesome, soft, radiant skin within 2 weeks." Did it deliver? Oh yeah.

My skin was so incredibly soft, and after the Turmeric Antioxidant Facial Mask, all the redness in my face was gone. I received several compliments about how "naturally beautiful" my skin was. Even when I awoke in the morning, my husband said (on multiple occasions) that my skin was glowing. He commented on how I didn't need makeup, that my complexion was perfect.

Now, he has mentioned this to me before in the past because I tend to take very good care of my skin. But I noticed he commented more frequently while I was solely using the JUARA Discovery Kit.

The cleanser does not create suds and almost feels like honey. The toner is thick and nourishing, nothing like the strong-smelling, harsh toners I've used in the past. The mask is my favorite part. You leave it on for a while, then simply wipe it off. I never missed that step because that was what cleared the redness. The moisturizer was a bit too oily for me at first, but then I realized I was using too much. I scaled down the amount and then it worked perfectly with my skin type. And the lotion? It smells sooooo good. It is thick and luxurious, and worked great on my arms and hands.

The only thing I wished for was a night cream, or directions for using the kit in the evening. I wasn't sure if I could repeat the routine twice in one day, or if the moisturizer was suitable for nighttime. Also, I didn't see a shrinking in my pores, and I have the same amount of blackheads as I did before I started. I'm hoping to find something in the JUARA Skincare line that might take care of those issues. As the Discovery Kit worked exactly how it claimed, then I feel confident in their other products and claims.

I'll let you know what I find out. In the meantime, if you're looking for new skincare products that are more natural and less chemical-based, try JUARA. Check out their website here: http://www.juaraskincare.com/
